Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program
Nauru offers a government-established Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Program (ECRCP) that allows eligible international applicants and their families to obtain Nauruan citizenship through a qualifying contribution to the country’s national development and climate-resilience initiatives. The program was established under the Nauru Economic and Climate Resilience Citizenship Act 2024 and is administered by the Nauru Program Office.
Eligible Family Members
A qualifying application may generally include:
- Spouse
- Eligible dependent children
- Parents and grandparents, subject to applicable age and dependency requirements
- Eligible siblings of the principal applicant or spouse, subject to current program conditions
Additional contribution, application and due-diligence fees apply depending on family composition.
Investment Option – Nauru Nature Contribution
Applicants make a qualifying contribution to the national Treasury Fund, helping support projects focused on climate resilience, infrastructure, renewable energy, sustainable development and economic diversification.
Current limited-time contribution:
Principal Applicant – USD 90,000
Additional current program charges include:
- USD 2,000 for each additional dependant aged 16 or above
- USD 15,000 for each eligible sibling
- Application, due-diligence, banking and passport fees apply separately
