Main Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must generally:
✓ Have a confirmed job offer from an approved UK sponsor
✓ Receive a valid Certificate of Sponsorship
✓ Work in an eligible occupation
✓ Meet the applicable salary and going-rate requirements
✓ Demonstrate English proficiency at the required level
✓ Have sufficient maintenance funds, unless certified by the sponsor
✓ Meet applicable identity, immigration and admissibility requirements
The standard salary requirement is generally £41,700 per year or the applicable going rate, whichever is higher. Different thresholds may apply to healthcare, education, Immigration Salary List occupations, new entrants and certain other eligible applicants.

English-Language Requirement
New Skilled Worker applicants generally need to demonstrate English ability at CEFR Level B2 in reading, writing, speaking and listening.
English may be demonstrated through an approved Secure English Language Test, an eligible qualification or another permitted exemption.

Bringing Family Members
An eligible spouse or partner and dependent children may be able to accompany or join the main applicant in the UK.
Each family member must submit a separate application, pay the relevant visa fees and meet the applicable dependant requirements. Restrictions may apply to dependants in certain occupations or circumstances.

Pathway to Permanent Settlement
Skilled Worker Visa holders may become eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain after completing five qualifying years in the UK.
Applicants must continue to meet the relevant residence, employment, salary, English-language and immigration requirements at the time of applying.
